This is a ridiculously easy body scrub I absolutely adore. All made from pantry staples. This is definitely a go-to scrub I use in the winter when skin, no matter how much you put lotion on, gets tight and dry. I was a non-believer when I first read about DIY scrubs but this has made a believer out of me. When you use it in the shower, your skin feels absolutely radiant afterwards, you will be wishing you discovered it sooner. All with stuff that is probably sitting in your kitchen pantry as you read this. Mine is as simple as it gets. You can try all kinds of versions, but I find this the quickest and easiest. The recipe is as follows:
2 cups packed brown sugar
1/4 cup avocado oil (can easily be swapped for olive oil)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
combine all in a bowl, mix and fill small mason jar or any sealable container.
You can also add 1/4 cup honey if you prefer, however it makes mixing trickier and I find it just gets sticky feeling. You can use any essential oil you like (lavender oil etc) in lieu of the vanilla extract. Also you can switch out the avocado oil for olive oil or almond oil. I just have avocado oil on hand and think it works nicely. This makes a fantastic gift as well. Get in your pantry and start mixing!!!
